William Mcintyre, Jr

Obituary William H. McIntyre, Jr., 80, of Morehead City, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at his home. A private service will be held at a later date. Mr. McIntyre was born on December 28, 1935 in Richmond, VA to William and Eleanor McIntyre. He was a graduate of N.C. State University and served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. McIntyre served in VP-44 on P5M-2 Marlins and also aboard the USS Sierra AD-18. He was employed as a safety engineer with Travelers Insurance Co. until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Stokes of Chicago, IL; three sons, William H. McIntyre, III of Mooresville, Joe McIntyre of Mount Pleasant, SC, Jeffrey McIntyre of Lexington, SC; a sister Eleanor "Honey" Brown of Rocky Mount, seven grandchildren and two nieces.
