William Ballou

Obituary William David Ballou, 57, of Morehead City, died on May 24, 2014, at home. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Open Door Baptist Church, Morehead City, with the pastor, Rev. Jerry Linebarger, officiating. David was born on March 31, 1957, in Morehead City, to Thomas W. Ballou and Nancy Lampley Huckemeyer. He was a superintendent in the construction industry. David was a member of Open Door Baptist Church, Morehead City. He loved boating and water skiing and many family outings. In the past, he loved going to Shackleford Banks on weekends on Uncle Sams house boat. He also loved his family and church family and singing in the choir. He is survived by his mother, Nancy L. Huckemeyer and stepfather, Merlin; brothers, Michael C. Ballou of Houston, TX and Barry R. Ballou and wife, Dorothy, of Morehead City; nieces, Kristi Elizabeth Ballou and Kasey Rae Ballou; and he has numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, Thomas W. Ballou; his brother, Thomas Wayne Ballou, Jr., preceded him in death. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Open Door Baptist Church, 227 Hwy 24, Morehead City, NC 28557.
