Obituary Wanda Owens Gaskill, 86, of Beaufort, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Carteret General Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at St. Pauls Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Carlisto officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. She was born September 11, 1928 in Beaufort to Charles Edward and Manie Davis Owens. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John C. Gaskill; sisters, Evelyn O. Fulcher of Beaufort and Julie O. Mansfield of Pine Knoll Shores; brother, Thomas R. Owens of Beaufort; numerous nieces, nephews and her loving companion Tasha. In addition to her parents, her sisters, Mary Ann Thompson and Dollie O. Morris; and brothers, Charles Owens and Derwood Owens, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Pauls Episcopal Church Cemetery Fund, 215 Ann Street, Beaufort, NC 28516.
