Vivian Pressley

Obituary Vivian Ray Pressley, 87, of Beaufort died Friday, May 13, 2016, at Harborview Health Care Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Brooks Funeral Home chapel. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at New Bern National Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Linebarger will officiate. Mrs. Pressley was born August 13, 1928 in Tarboro, NC to the Late Ossie and Eula Norwood Hale. She is survived by her stepson, Johnny H. Pressley of Charlotte, NC; stepdaughter, Pat P. Deason of Fairview, NC; brother, Glenn Hale of New Bern, NC; sister, Betty H. Hamilton of Rockingham, NC. She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace D. Pressley; brothers, William Hale and Rudolph Hale; stepson, Richard Pressley; and stepdaughter, Shirley P. Thomas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour following the service. Special mention and much appreciation to Vivians neighbor and friend, Molly Willis, for her concern and invaluable assistance to Vivian during her illness.
