Virginia Snider

Obituary Virginia K. Snider, 94, of Newport, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Newport, NC. A burial will take place at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lexington, NC, at a later date. Virginia was born June 22, 1919, in Lexington, NC, to John and Florence Grubb. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Smith, of Newport, NC; two grandchildren, Joanie Brand Hudson of Newport, NC and Jennie B. Starr of Havelock, NC; two great-grandchildren, Leigh Ann Wade of Newport, NC and Matthew A. Hargreaves of Newport, NC.; and a sister, Grace Everhart of Salisbury, NC. In addition to her parents, her husband, Berklin Morillis Snider, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 2840 Friendship Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
