Virginia Johnson

Obituary Virginia Boyd Johnson, age 89 of Morehead City, formally of New Bern, died August 31, 2017 at Harborview Health Care Center. At her request, there will be no service. Virginia was born August 18, 1928 in New Bern to John T. Jr and Clyde Hill Boyd. After high school Virginia attended Meredith College. She met and married Charles Jefferson "Jeff" Johnson Jr, her devoted husband of 68 years until the time of his death on July 20, 2017. The couple had 3 children, Karen Hillman and her husband Rob, Jeff, III, and his wife Carla and John; two grandsons, David and John; and two great grandchildren, Layne and Hadley. Virginia enjoyed entertaining and was always ready to help her family and friends. She was tireless in her efforts in caring for her family; especially her mother and grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Alonzo Davis and his staff for their professional support and many kindnesses over the years.
