Obituary Swannie Belle Stroud Buck, 83, of Broad Creek died Sunday, January 25, 2015, at her home. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 324 McCabe Road, with Michael Tokay officiating. Interment will follow at Broad Creek Community Cemetery. Mrs. Buck was born August 29, 1931, in Deep Run, NC to the late Herbert Wayne Stroud and Sammie Smith Stroud. She was one of Jehovahs Witnesses for more than 70 years. Her favorite scripture was 2nd Corinthians, 4: 16-18. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily and associating with friends and family. She is survived by her sons, Timothy Allen Buck and wife, Cindy, James Robert Robbie Buck, and Joseph Wayne Jo-Jo Buck, all of Broad Creek; daughter, Rosemary B. Jones and husband, Lyle, of Fredericksburg, VA. She is additionally survived by her sisters; Rachel S. McQueen of Morehead City and Eleanor S. Zurek of Newport as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, her husband, Walter Robert Buck, Jr. and three siblings precede her in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, January 28, 2015, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Flowers are welcomed by the family.
