Sue Ann Leverich

Obituary Sue Ann Leverich, 74, of Newport, NC passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at home. Sue was born and lived most of her life in Verplanck, New York. She and her husband moved to the Crystal Coast of North Carolina in 2008 after they retired. Sue loved playing bingo, lighthouses, keeping up with friends and family on social media and researching her family history. Above all else, she loved her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandson. The family will announce a celebration of her life in New York at a later date. Sue is survived by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Leverich of Newport; sons, Christopher Butler of Jackson, WY; Jody Leverich and his wife Melanie of Richalands, NC; daughter, Tara Leverich of Newport, NC; grandchildren, Jenna Leverich; Craig Hitchcock; Tyler Blazek; Anthony Leverich; Abygail Leverich; great-grandson, Chester Marsh; sisters, Jane Maurice and her husband Robert; Mary Batchelder; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and her beloved dog Cassie. She was preceded in death by her parents, S. Joseph and Loretta Butler; and brother-in-law, Timothy Batchelder.
