Obituary Scott L. Johnston, 59, of Morehead City, died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center Greenville, NC. Scott was born in Spartanburg, SC to Albert Sidney Johnston and Jacqueline Ann Merrill Johnston. He began in the automotive business selling Hondas in Spartanburg at age 21. For the past 20 years he was in sales at Parker Honda in Morehead City and was promoted to sales manager in April 2017. Scott loved boating and working, but his favorite times were spent with Melissa on the many cruises that they took. Scott is survived by his wife, Melissa Marie Johnston of Morehead City; one daughter, Emily M. Johnston of Morehead City; two sons, Pat and Allen Johnston, both of SC; one sister, Catherine J. Smith and husband Jeff of Spartanburg; one brother, Keith R. Johnston and wife Jody of Spartanburg; and lastly he is survived by his dog, Sampson. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Friday November 2, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In addition to his parents, his sister Debra Ann Palmer, precedes him in death. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carteret Health Care Foundation for Cancer Services, P.O.
