Obituary Sara Ballou Webb, 78, of Morehead City died Friday, May 6, 2016, at Carteret Health Care. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. E. Powell Osteen, Jr. officiating. The interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery. She was born on March 23, 1938 in Morehead City, the youngest of nine children born to William Headen Ballou and Iona Smithson Ballou. She is survived by her husband, Milton Neil Webb; children, Mickey Webb and wife Myra of Wilmington, NC and Lauri Fair and husband Mike of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Sarah "Frankie" Webb Chuckran of Raleigh, NC, Rebecca Webb and Milton "Neil" Webb, III of Wilmington, NC, Kathryn Elaine Fair of Winston Salem, NC, Thomas Michael Fair of Raleigh, NC as well as Doug Hall of Bayou Vista TX, Melodie Hall Daniels of Newport NC and Matthew Hall of Beaufort and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her eight siblings, William Ballou, Ward Ballou, Holden Ballou, Sonny Ballou, Patsy Ballou Wade, Sam Ballou, Tommy Ballou and Betty Ballou Pittman. The family will receive friends at Brooks Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 7:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Harborview for the loving care provided to Sara over the past four years. We are also thankful for love and support of family and friends throughout her extended illness.
