Sally Elizabeth "Betsy" Fulford

Obituary Sally Elizabeth "Betsy" Fulford, 83, of Beaufort died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her home. At the request of Ms. Fulford, no services will be held. She was born July 4, 1933 in Morehead City to Joseph Vance Fulford and Gladys Smith Fulford. Ms. Fulford loved fishing and sailing and was known for her July 4th front porch parties to celebrate her birthday. She was also an avid Carolina Basketball fan. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Fulford of Beaufort; nieces, Stephanie Mason of Charlotte, Alex Hopkins and husband Mark of Denver, NC and Kay Chadwick of Beaufort; nephews, Phillip Mason, Jr. of Statesville, William Vance Fulford, Jr. and wife Jeanne of Beaufort and Terry Fulford and wife Martha of Beaufort as well as numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. In addition to her parents, her sister Bertha Mason, brother William Vance Fulford and great-nephew Tony Fulford preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice. The family would like to especially thank her friend and caregiver Laura Stadaro, caregiver Linda Grey and hospice nurse Renee Ellis.
