Obituary Sallie Wright Emerson Lee, Captain Sallie, 94, of Beaufort, died Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay, Sea Level. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015, at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, with the Rev. John Carlisto officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lee was born October 20, 1920, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Alan Chase Emerson and Sallie Wright Emerson. She is a graduate of Salem College and worked as a social work trainer for the state of North Carolina. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara L. Bryan and husband, Lewis, of Beaufort; three sons, Bruce E. Lee of Eden, Bryan W. Lee of Phoenix, AZ, and Brett L. Lee , and wife, Lori, of Greenville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. We give great thanks for Sallies Girls (caregivers) and the excellent care given to her by Snug Harbor. In addition to her parents, her husband, Raney C. Pete Lee, Jr., her sister, Louise E. Curtis and her brother, Alan C. Emerson, Jr., preceded her in death The family will receive friends in the church parish hall following the service and committal.
