Ruth Broadhurst

Obituary Ruth Jensen Broadhurst, 86, of Morehead City died Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at her home. A private service will be held by the family. She was a professor of nursing at East Carolina University for twenty-eight years. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie B. Whisnant and husband, Andre, of Wilmington, NC; sons, Philip J. Broadhurst of Morehead City, Alan F. Broadhurst and wife, Michele of Hendersonville, NC, and Steven K. Broadhurst and wife, Heather, of Morehead City; grandchildren, Alyssa Elizabeth Broadhurst, Jacob McCullough Broadhurst, Jensen Christian Broadhurst, Peyton Frederick Whisnant, Lauren Michele Whisnant, Mitchell William Whisnant, and Hannah Mae Broadhurst. Mrs. Broadhurst was preceded in death by her parents, Tonny and Signa Jensen; and husband, Frederick Linwood Broadhurst. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carteret Health Care Foundation for Hospice, P. O. Drawer 1619, Morehead City, NC 28557. A private service will be held by the family.
