Obituary Roy David Thomas, 73, of Newport, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones. A graveside service will be held at Amariah Garner Cemetery in Newport, NC at 2 PM on Sunday, September 4, 2022, with Chaplain Patrick Whaley officiating and military honors. The family will receive friends at the Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church following the service with a meal.
