Obituary Ronald Avery McLamb, 68, of Newport, passed away August 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. His memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jack Mumford officiating. Ronald was born in Dunn, NC on July 20, 1948. He was a 1967 graduate of West Carteret High School. He worked as an electrician and provided crane maintenance at the NC State Ports Authority, retiring in 2010. He is survived by his wife, Linda Bennett; his daughter Cynthia Johnson and husband Jeremiah, of Cottage Grove, OR; grandson John Parker, of Morehead City; granddaughter Ryan Avery Parker of Cottage Grove, OR; sister , Avis Willis and husband Malcom Ray, of Morehead City; brother Wayne McLamb and wife Donna, of Chesapeake, VA, and his beloved Aunt Ethel Ann Holland and husband Connie, of Four Oaks, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Ivey, father Rusell McLamb and brother Keith McLamb. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, P. O.
