Richard Canto

Obituary Richard Alan Canto, 61, peacefully passed away at his home in Morehead City, NC on November 5th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born on January 5, 1955 in Barnstable, Ma to Mabel Gomes and Theodore Canto and lived the majority of his life in Harwich, Ma. In 1989 he married his soul mate Patricia Sullivan and together they raised their children. After 35 years of service he retired from Cranberry Valley Golf Course. Richard enjoyed playing cards with his life long friends, following his New England Sports Teams, but most of all, his family time. He was a loyal, honest and loving man who prided himself by instilling the importance of family first and forever. He will be dearly missed. He is predeceased in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Lee Kelsey. He leaves behind his wife, Patricia, son Nathan Canto and wife Melissa, and daughters, Karen Williams and Shannon Gilmore and husband Mathew, and 12 grandchildren Jordan, Madison, Jacob, Mackenzie, Brandon, Taylor, Ashley, Autumn, Brady, Kendall, Quinn, and Nathan. Also his brothers, John, Theodore & Benjamin and sister Lisa Canto and his many nieces, nephews, & cousins. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
