Obituary Regina Fennessey Hann, 87, of Newport, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Crystal Coast Hospice House. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at St. Egbert Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas R. Davis officiating. The interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville. Regina was born January 14, 1929, in Dunellen, New Jersey, to William and Mary Flaherty Fennessey. She was a long time member of St. Egbert Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and member of the Ladies Guild and the Bereavement Committee. Mrs. Hann served as a minister to the sick and shut-ins. She is survived by her husband, Carl G. Hann, Jr.; daughter, Maureen Gandolfe of Bridgewater, NJ; two grandchildren, Lindsay Gandolfe and Eric Gandolfe; and a cousin, Barbara Mahalick and husband Bob of Naples, Florida. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Fennessey and brothers, LeRoy Fennesey and Donald Robert Fennessey. The family will receive friends at a reception in the church parish hall following the funeral service. Flowers are welcome but the family prefers memorials be made to Crystal Coast Hospice House, P. O. Box 640, Newport, NC 28570 or to St. Egbert Catholic Church, 1706 Evans Street, Morehead City, NC 28557.
