Paul Jaenike

Paul Gordon Jaenike age 73 passed away peacefully March 20th at the Crystal Coast Hospice House. He was born in Rochester, New York on August 22, 1951. 

Paul and his wife Kay who were married for 52 years met in high school in Pittsford NY and lived there until 1995 when they moved to Morehead City, North Carolina. Paul was in the fishing industry and worked at Big Rock Sports and Sea Striker in Morehead City.

His love for fishing and being on the water extended to his entire family. Taking them to Hatteras every summer for the past 45 years was one of his biggest joys. Boating and fishing were big part of his life. Paul and Kay were also members at Morehead City Country Club for the past 30 years and made golf one of their favorite pastimes playing together.

Although he is no longer in our presence, his spirit and deep love for his family will continue to inspire and uplift us.

He is survived by his wife Kay Crowther Jaenike, two sons, Jeffrey and spouse Marcy of Surf City, NC and Kevin of Wilmington, NC, and 3 grandchildren, Lola, Parker and Cohen. He is also survived by his brother John Jaenike and sister Sarah Jaenike.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
