Nancy Pagani Geraghty

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Nancy Pagani Geraghty, age 72, of Morehead City. She passed away on Thursday morning, February 6, 2025, at her residence. 

Nancy was born March 11, 1952, in Wake County, daughter of the late Hampton and Doris Petteway. Nancy worked as a mitigation specialist on capital cases for 30 years. She was known as a pioneer in her field. She was loved by many in her personal and professional life. 

Nancy found Christ at an early age and grew in her faith through her later years. She was a member of Harlowe Methodist Church and truly enjoyed living at the coast.

She lived a life of service towards others, embodying the best of qualities: loving nature, compassionate disposition, and constant generosity seen through her care for her family and her work. She positively impacted the lives of many! 

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Geraghty.‍ 

Nancy is survived by two children, Meredith Pagani of Cary and Nick Pagani of Morehead City; two step-children, Melissa Geraghty Dunn and Allison Geraghty; three step-grandchildren, Asher, Adeline, and Harrison of Charlotte; one sister, Marilyn Anderson of Cary; a niece and nephew, Juliet Anderson Goodman of Charlotte and Robert Anderson of Raleigh. She also leaves many other family members, coworkers, and friends who will sadly miss her. 

 A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Harlowe United Methodist Church located at 4261 State Rte 101, Newport, NC 28570.‍ Visitation for family and friends will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, Nancy requested donations be made to Harlowe Methodist Church, 5119 Hwy 101 Newport, NC 28570 In care of: Cary Temple; or Carteret Humane Society.
