Michael Hargett

Obituary Michael Dale Hargett, 63, went home to be with the Lord on September 23rd after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born to Patricia and John Hargett, Michael graduated from Lenoir Community College with a degree in marine fisheries. Michael served for 31 years at Cherry Point Naval Air Base as the branch head, maintaining the Navy's airborne units. Mike was an avid boater and fisherman, outdoorsman, and spent his weekends along the coast with his family. Mike is survived by his wife Debbie of 43 years, his son Patrick and wife Kassey, his son Kameron, his sister Sandra and her husband Tike Adams, his mother in law Patsy Swindell, his sister in law Teresa Swindell and fiance Roger Hoke, his sister in laws Diane Hood Hargett and Sherry Metts, his nieces and nephews Lee Smith, Jonathan and his wife BJ, and Amber Hargett. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Patricia Hargett, and his brothers, Marty and Ronnie Hargett. A celebration of life will be held at Neuse Breeze on Thursday, September 29th at 1pm.
