Michael Gregory Dzurilla, of Newport, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023, in Newport, NC. Born on April 19, 1990, in Trumbull County OH, Michael left an indelible mark on everyone he met through his selflessness, gentleness, and loving nature.
Michael is survived by his beloved mother, Sharon Jane Dzurilla; his devoted sister, Reanna Sara Dzurilla; his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Patricia Phillips; and his aunts, Melissa Phillips and husband Plymouth, and daughter Cayden, Lorraine Phillips and husband Stephen and their children, Corey and Alyssa. He is also survived by his Uncle Randy Dzurilla and wife Candice and their children, Jessica, Chelsea, and Isabell. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Lawrence Dzurilla; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Inez Dzurilla; his uncle Eddie Dzurilla; and his aunt Michelle Dzurilla.
Michael graduated from high school with a love for learning and a knack for making friends. His love for games was evident in the joy he derived from playing his PlayStation, a pastime that brought him immense pleasure and provided a platform for him to connect with friends and other gaming enthusiasts. He also had a love for the Philadelphia Eagles, handed down from his father.
Michael's love for the state fair stemmed from his childhood. The fair was a place of joy, excitement, and wonder for him, where he could enjoy the rides, games, and food. This love for the fair carried into his adult life, with Michael often reminiscing about the fun times he had as a child at the fair.
In his personal life, Michael was known for his selflessness. He had a heart of gold, always putting others before himself. This was evident in the way he cared for his mother and always making sure she was ok. He was also a gentle soul, treating everyone he met with kindness and respect.
Michael's loving nature was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him. He had a way of making people feel special and loved, and his warm, welcoming smile was a source of comfort to many. He was a beacon of positivity and love, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered .
