Mary Marzette Doughtie

Obituary Mary Marzette Doughtie, 72, of Newport, passed away the morning of Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary loved to volunteer with the Newport Little League in her spare time. She was also an avid fisher, and some would say, "the best fishing woman theyve ever seen". Gardening also brought joy to her heart as did spending time with and caring for her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Dale Doughtie; her daughters, Terri Walbert (fianc Jimmy Rutherford) of Newport, Tammi Harvey (husband Jimmy) of Meridian, MS, and Traci Deese (husband Ronnie) of Newport; her grandchildren, Jacob Walbert, Austin Parker, Karcyn Dail, Destiny Deese, and Tripp Deese; and her brothers Craig Dilbeck and his wife Marsha of MN and Keith Dilbeck and his wife Gloria of OH. Mary is preceded in death by two of her brothers, Brett Dilbeck and Kym Dilbeck, and her parents, Roy and Mercedes "Mitzi" Dilbeck. A funeral service will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00pm. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00pm at the funeral home.
