Mary Hull

October 5, 1934 — February 21, 2017

Obituary Mary Jo Hull, 82, of Morehead City died peacefully Tuesday morning, February 21, 2017, at home with her daughter Kelley H. Marshall by her side. Her funeral celebrating her life and legacy of service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at First Baptist Church on Bridges Street. Dr. Nate Leonard will officiate. The family will host a reception following the service in the Family Life Center at the church. Mrs. Hull was born October 5, 1934 in Raleigh, NC to Charles and Healy Baker Hutchins. Mrs. Hull truly enjoyed her flower garden and her life of service to First Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon and long-time Sunday school teacher for the young adult class. Mrs. Hull was also very active in the church kitchen for many years and was instrumental in the Wednesday suppers and hosting the Thursday business luncheon and devotion along with countless other celebrations that used the church kitchen. Mrs. Hull also had a deep legacy of many close friends and was active in her bridge club for nearly fifty years. The family would also like to acknowledge and honor Mrs. Hulls special young friends Rosie and Owen Timbrook. She is survived by her husband, Claud Hull; daughters, Terri Hull Adams of Canton, MI and Kelley Hull Marshall and husband Jim of Mooresville, NC; sister, Nancy Glenn of Raleigh; brothers, Bill Hutchins of Raleigh, Frank Hutchins of Johnson City, TN, James Hutchins of Raleigh, John Hutchins of Clinton, and Robert Hutchins of Temple, TX; grandchildren, Andrew Adams, Kelley Adams, Joe Marshall and Helen Marshall. In addition to her parents, her sister, Elizabeth Champion, and brother, Charles Hutchins, preceded her in death.
