Obituary Biography Marvin LeRoi Smoot, IV, 52, of Beaufort, died Friday, June 1, 2018, at Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Brooks Funeral Home. Previously, he owned and operated the Greyhound Bus Terminals in Raleigh and Wilson. His last employer was Lehigh and Hanson. He is survived by his sister, Jessie Ellington Smoot of Tarboro. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin LeRoi Smoot, III and Jessie Moore Smoot, brother, David Moore Smoot, and his grandparents, Marvin L. and Elsie Fountain Smoot, William David and Jessie Eason Moore, and 2 uncles, Arthur Smoot and George Smoot. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to the charity of ones choice.
