Margaret Chaplain

Obituary Margaret Springle Chaplain, 74, of Beaufort, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Carteret Memorial Gardens, Beaufort, with the Rev. Rich Denning, officiating. Mrs. Chaplain was born on July 31, 1939, in Beaufort, to Raymond and Virgie Willis Springle. She is survived by her son, Jesse T. Chaplain, Sr. of Beaufort; sister, Susan Helton of Beaufort; brothers, Raymond Springle, Jr. of Colorado and John Springle of Georgia; and grandson, Jesse T. Chaplain, Jr. of Harkers Island. In addition to her parents, her husband, John "Jackie" Allen Chaplain, III, and brother, Allen Springle, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Chaplain on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to Harkers Island Volunteer Fire Department, 1219 Island Road, Harkers Island, NC 28531.
