Margaret Brown

Obituary Margaret White Phelps Brown, 77, of Morehead City, NC, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Crystal Coast Hospice House. At her request, there will be no services. Margaret was born in Windsor, NC, on October 27, 1939, to William Roy and Virginia Cobb Phelps. After high school, she graduated from East Carolina University. Mrs. Brown was the Director of Medical Records at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount and, until her retirement, at Carteret General Hospital, now Carteret Health Care. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Goode, of the home; daughter, Beth Ann Arthur of Morehead City; son, Jarvis James "Trey" Arthur, of Williamsburg, VA; brother, Rudolph Phelps, of Winterville, NC; and 2 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Marie Arthur; sister, Rosalyn Jean Phelps; brothers, Herman Dallas Phelps, William Roy Phelps, Jr., and John Hillary Phelps.
