Lynette Parsons

Obituary Lynette Parsons, age 69 of Newport died at her home on March 5, 2019. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 10 at 3:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robbie Strickland will officiate. Interment will be at Ameriah Garner Cemetery in Newport. Lynette was born July 14, 1949 in Cumberland County, NC to William and Myrtle Lou Weeks Parsons. She worked as a teachers assistant. She moved from Lillington to her lil house by the beach in 2015. Lynette loved being by the water. She soon became a member of Broad Creek Church of God, where she met dear friends and became an active and integral part of the church family. She had a passion for nature and loved animals, gardening and of course the beach. Lynette is survived by her two children, Sonya Denise Fulmer of Morehead City and Bryce Kenley Fulmer of Aiken, SC; her brother Richard Parsons of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Skylar Alexis Umstead, Zachary and Matthew Coker, and Breydon Fulmer; and her precious canine companion, Gracie She is preceded in death by her parents.
