Louise Edmundson

Obituary Louise Edmundson, 85, of Morehead City, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay, Sea Level. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, with the pastor, the Rev. Powell Osteen officiating. Mrs. Edmundson was born on March 4, 1929, to Adlai and Florence Williamson Bizzell in Newton Grove, NC. She attended East Carolina University and worked for Sears until her retirement. In 1977, she married Ray Edmundson and they enjoyed traveling together to Alaska, England, Wales, France, and Italy. She was a talented seamstress and an avid gardener who loved to watch things grow. She loved to serve in the United Methodist Churches that she attended, both in Newton Grove and Morehead City. She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Hathcock of Beaufort, Rebecca Smith, and her husband, Spencer of Salter Path, her son, Lindsay, and his wife, Mary; sister, Doris Wilkerson; grandchildren, Chris, Louise, and her husband, Chris, Jason, and his wife, Anne, Shannon, and her husband, Wayne, Karen and her husband, Daniel, and Brenda; and, 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Bizzell and Oscar Bizzell, and her sister, Ruth Warren. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Louises memory be made to Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
