The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service held at 7:30 p.m. He was born in Lehrensteinsfeld, Germany on September 23, 1928 to Wilhelm and Lydia Braun. Mr. Braun and his wife lived in Byram Township, NJ for 38 years where he owned and operated Braun Aluminum Products prior to retiring to Morehead City. He was a member of St. Johns Masonic Lodge #1 in Mountain Lakes, NJ and Ocean Masonic Lodge #405 in Morehead City. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Braun; daughter, Heidi McNerney and husband, Frank, of New Jersey; son, Christpher Braun and wife, Pattie, of Virginia; grandchildren, Ryan, Kurtis, Christina, Marshall, and Mitchell. In addition to his parents, his siblings, Adolf, Friedrich, and Maria, preceded him in death In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Philadelphia, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140 or Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
