Kathryn Wade

Obituary Kathryn Godwin Wade, 89, wife of the late James I. Wade of Morehead City, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, August 24, 2014. During her life, she worked at Roses, Sears and Belk. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Bible School at First Baptist Church, and loved her years of singing in the church choir. Visitation will be Thursday August 28, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, Morehead City. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 29, at First Baptist Church in Morehead City with the Rev. Jerry Linebarger and the Rev. Darrell Williams officiating. The burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery. She is survived by one brother, William H. Godwin of Suffolk, VA; a daughter, Janet Wade Thompson and husband, Mac, of Summerville SC; brother-in-law, L.E. Wade and wife, Vicky, of The Villages, Florida; 2 grandsons, Amery and Robert Oden of Wilson, NC and one great-granddaughter Jessica Dail-Rice of Morehead City. In addition, a niece Karen Oglesby Boyd and husband, Earl, also of Morehead City, along with 21 other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Kathryn Oden and granddaughter, Melanie Dail-Rice.
