Kathryn Morschauser

Obituary Kathryn B. Morschauser, 92, of Cape Carteret, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Morschauser was born December 23, 1922, in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Beisler. Kathryn was a 1944 graduate of Douglas College. She devoted her life to raising her children and teaching high school mathematics. Upon retirement, she moved to the coast where she enjoyed an active life with friends, playing golf, and bridge. She was a member of the Swansboro United Methodist Church and was active in her church circle. She is survived by her son, LtCol Michael Clifford Morschauser, USMC (ret) and his wife Cheryl, of Plano, TX: her daughter, Melissa Beth M. Plante and her husband Dennis, of Tequesta, FL; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, Clifford Morschauser. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Swansboro United Methodist Church, 665 W. Corbett Ave., Swansboro, NC 28584.
