Karen Belle Weigand

Obituary Karen Belle Weigand, 80, of Newport, NC, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, gram, nana, and great-grandmother. She spent her time working with her hands by building homes, helping friends, gardening, and taking care of her family. She enjoyed time with her neighbors- playing games and sitting on her porch. She loved the water, fishing, and boating with her grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Noe - Brooks Funeral Home, with Mike Dempsey officiating. The family will receive friends prior from 2-3 p.m. Karen was born in Port Chester, New York and grew up in Rye with her family and four brothers. She was always active with her friends and family and enjoyed life to the fullest. She moved to different parts of New York before settling on the shore of New Jersey to raise her children. After they graduated, she came to North Carolina to live the rest of her life on the water. During her time here she worked on houses and enjoyed family time. Karen is survived by her daughter, Susan King and her husband, Dennis, and their three children, Patrick and his wife, Evelyn, Robert and his fianc, Maddie, and Katie; son, John Dickenson, and his wife, Susan and their four girls; Tricia and Dan and their two little boys; Missy and husband, Ted and their four children, Tiffany and her daughter and Kayla, her husband Andrew, and their five children. Jayne Dempsey and her husband, Mike and their children, Mary Matthew, William, Kate, and Patrick. She is also survived by one brother, Stephen Bell, and three nieces: Donna, Beth, and Stephanie. Karen is preceded in death by her parents: Stephen and Emma Belle; and brothers, Howard Belle, Charles Belle, and Ronald Belle.
