Judith Sparks Rhodes, 73, passed away on October 3, 2024, at Crystal Coast Pruitt Health in Beaufort, North Carolina. Born on March 16, 1952, in Mattoon, Illinois, she was a daughter to the late Don Ray Sparks and Margaret Elizabeth Carruthers. Judith was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Terry Anthony Rhodes, and her mother-in-law, Edna Whaley Lee.

 Judith, a graduate of Mattoon High School, dedicated her life to serving others. She worked at Sunshine Laundry and later earned her CNA degree, working for Crystal Bluffs in Morehead City. Most of her career was spent at Town&Country IGA, where she cherished interacting with both new and longtime customers. Known for her boundless happiness, forgiveness, and storytelling, Judith was a beloved figure in her community and among her friends and family.

 She is survived by her daughter, Amy Rudd, and her husband, Ronnie; grandsons, Travis Rudd and his fiancée, Abby Grant, and Trevor Rudd and his wife, Elizabeth Rudd; and four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Allie Jo, Emma, and Ruthie Rudd. Judith also leaves behind her sister, Elvina May.

 A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Noe-Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City, North Carolina, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Judith's life was a testament to love, service, and community, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
