Judith Boone

July 30, 1955 — April 16, 2025

On Wednesday, April 16th Judith exchanged time for eternity and answered the call of her creator to “Come unto Me and Rest.” Judy was born the tenth child of eleven siblings to the late Ardie & Ella Nolon in Havelock, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Noe Brooks Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel. There will be a visitation from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Her daughter Nichole Nolon and siblings, Ardie Nolon Jr., Willie Nolon, Jean Carol Jones, James Ervin Nolon, and Roy Lee Nolon predeceased her.

Judy’s walk with God began at an early age. She was born into membership at Craven Corner Missionary Baptist Church where her faith and her relationship with God began. Stressing the importance of faith, Judy’s parents instilled in her and her siblings that, with God, anything is possible. This served as the spiritual framework for Judy, who often said and believed: “There is nothing God can’t do.” JUDY’S WALK WITH GOD ENCOURGED HER.

Strong-willed and independent in thought, Judy lived a life of love with a heart for giving. Ever the explorer, Judy was always prepared for new experiences, since she never met a stranger. She was always a kind and dependable friend who displayed faith, courage, and strength. JUDY’S WALK WITH GOD KEPT HER. With her husband, Judy built a family of her own with entrepreneurial pursuits. Her love for her family and her family’s natural gift of development, destined them to the field of property expansion. As independent contractors, the Boone family developed a progressive business, whereas Judy served her family and aided in the economic development of her community. JUDY’S WALK WITH GOD INSPIRED HER.

Engaging in spiritual growth and development of all she encountered, Judy truly embraced the importance of family, friends, and the church. Her soul was filled with laughter, and her heart was filled with dreams, as she consistently visited and prayed for others, provided nourishment to many, and gave to those in need. JUDY’S WALK WITH GOD SPIRITUALLY DEVELOPED HER.

She was known for her signature red hair and love for a good shopping spree. Judy enjoyed watching crime shows, eating seafood, and spending time with family. As a devoted believer in Christ, she encouraged others to get along and “don’t worry.” On April 16th she received a greater Call and breathed her last breath with her loved one’s present. JUDY’S WALK WITH GOD CARRIED HER HOME TO GLORY IN PEACE.

Judy will live on in the lives and hearts of those whom she touched and loved. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 48 years, Wilbur Boone Sr.; Children Wilbur Boone Jr., Kareem Boone, Davon Boone, and Javon Boone; grandchildren CaNiqka Nolon, Justyn Nolon, and Seven-Hazel Boone; siblings, Myrtle Freeman, Willam Nolon (Janie Lee), Evon Godette, Vernon Nolon (Arlene), and James Nolon (Leila); brother-in-law Ned Jones, and sister-in-law Bertha Nolon – and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
