Obituary Joyce Gower Nobling, 88, of Beaufort, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Carteret General Hospital. No services are scheduled. Mrs. Nobling was born on February 14, 1926, in Wake County, to Hubert and Hallie Britt. She worked as a meat cutter for Swift and Company before retiring. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Larry Nobling of Beaufort; 2 sons, Andy Gower, of New Bern and Tony Gower, of Garner; a daughter, Mary Gower of Dallas, Texas; and several grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death.
