Joshua Shane Blaylock

Joshua Shane Blaylock, also known as Big Slerm, passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 47 in Cedar Point, NC. He was born on April 17, 1976, in Greensboro, NC. Joshua was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend.

Described as a kindhearted and sweet soul, Joshua had a contagious personality that made everyone around him feel comfortable. He had a special talent for making his friends feel like family and was always there to lend a listening ear. Joshua cherished his relationships with his parents, Thomas and Pamela Blaylock, and his two daughters, Angel and Abbey Blaylock. He held a deep love and respect for his grandmother, Nancy Ballard, who survives him.

In addition to his immediate family, Joshua is survived by his brother, Wes Blaylock. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Blaylock, and his grandfather, Carl Ray Hicks.

During his educational journey, Joshua attended Oak Ridge Elementary for his primary education and graduated from Northwest Guilford High School.

Joshua had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy and relaxation. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, taking walks on the beach, and exploring thrift stores in search of unique treasures.
