Joseph Licari

Obituary Joseph Licari, 84, of Newport, died Friday, February 16, 2018, at Harborview Health Care Center, Morehead City. A graveside service will be held by the family at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Newport. Mr. Licari was born in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Josephine Licari. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years, and in the United States Air Force where he spent sixteen years, retiring as a Tech Sergeant. As a civilian he worked as an aircraft mechanic at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point. Mr. Licari was a proud veteran, big hearted good man and a great Dad. He is survived by a daughter, Debbie Licari of Havelock; sons Tony Licari of Morehead City, and Chuck Licari of Nashville, TN; a brother Larry Licari of NV; 3 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, his wife, Elaine Licari, a daughter, Wanda Licari, a son, Joseph Licari, and granddaughter Nikki, preceded him in death.
