John Terrell

Obituary John Lester Terrell, 79, of Pine Knoll Shores, died Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Carteret Health Care. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church of Morehead City, with the pastors, the Rev. E. Powell Osteen, Jr. and the Rev. Jason Villegas presiding. Mr. Terrell was born in Lexington, VA to Henry and Ruth Terrell. He attended schools in Chesterfield, VA and the Virginia Commonwealth University. John served his country in the United States Army. John spent most of his career with Case Corporation. He retired as a regional manager in the agricultural and construction equipment industries. He retired to Pine Knoll Shores in 1995 and became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Morehead City. John was a member of the Ocean Lodge #405 AF and AM, Morehead City. He was a former member of the Country Club of the Crystal Coast and the Morehead City Country Club. Mr. Terrell was a volunteer in several different capacities with Pine Knoll Shores as well as a volunteer at Carteret Health Care and Meals on Wheels. Johnny wanted to thank his family and friends for all their love. He wishes them the best , God Bless. He is survived by his wife Arlene A. Terrell, of Pine Knoll Shores; sons John Lester Terrell, Jr. of Trevose, PA, Michael Gahan of Wadsworth, OH, Chris Gahan of Hampstead, Patrick Gahan of Concord, MA; a daughter Vicki Burgos of Coopersburg, PA; a sister Carol Russell of Cary; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
