Obituary John Pierpont Morgan, III, 58, of Beaufort, NC died on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at home. No services are scheduled. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Brooks Funeral Home in Morehead City. Mr. Morgan was born on April 12, 1955, in Wilson to Sue Whitehead Morgan and Jesse P. Morgan, Jr. He graduated from Pinecrest High School, Pinehurst. John was a professional golfer for many years. Mr. Morgan and Clara May Phillips, (The love of his life), owned Watermark Restaurant in Atlantic Beach, NC. John is survived by Clara May Phillips of Beaufort; son, Patrick Morgan of Aberdeen; sister, Penny Morgan Dale of Wilson; brother, Kyle Morgan of High Point; niece, Erin Dale of Raleigh; aunt, Mrs. Anne Morgan Sharpe of Wilson; Clara's daughter, Shelley Phillips Bandy and grandson, Richard Bandy.
