John Joseph Moran

Obituary John Joseph Moran, age 90, died April 20,2020 at Carolina East Medical Center. John was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and resided in the Dolphin Point community of Oriental from 2001 to 2010. He served on the board of HOPE Clinic from 2002-2010 before moving to Atlantic Beach. John was a retired educator and administrator in Catholic schools for over 50 years and retired as assistant principal of Holy Trinity High School, Diocese of Rockville Centre, NY. He held a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marian (Marist) College and Masters Degrees from St. Johns University (NY) and Iona College (NY). John is survived by a brother James L. Moran and wife, Nancy and many nieces and nephews in the US and in Ireland. He is also survived by his wife and companion, Sharon Rogan. He was an avid reader and loved the beach and the ocean.
