Obituary John Francis Christopher De Man VI, 70, of Atlantic Beach, died Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Carteret Health Care, Morehead City, after several years of failing health. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. John was born in South Bend, IN, on November 8, 1947, to John Francis Christopher De Man, V and Virginia Lawson De Man. He was a 30-year veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Crystal Coast Shrine Club. He was also a pro bass fisherman. John loved life and never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife, Rhonna Shatterly De Man, of the home; daughter, Dawn Everix, of Virginia; two sons, John De Man, VII and Tim De Man, both of Indiana; two sisters Sandy Lapham of Michigan and Vicki Racine of Indiana and 10 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the home. John was preceded in death by his parents.
