Obituary SSgt John Louis Dobozy, Jr., 69, USMC (Ret) of Newport, died Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Crystal Coast Hospice House. A memorial service, with military honors, will be held Friday, October 13, 2017, at 2:00 at Brooks Funeral Home. John was born in New Boston, Michigan on August 22, 1948, to John Louis and Emma Miller Dobozy. He proudly served his country for 2 years in the US Army and 18 years in the USMC. After retirement, John worked at Walmart. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Havelock. He is survived by his wife, Merri Dobozy, of the home; step-daughter, Paulette OConner, and husband, Leo, of Ronulus, MI; step-sons, Matthew Foreman, and wife, Julie and Adam Sabourin, and wife, Angela, all of Newport; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Daleo, of Houghton Lake, MI; 2 sister-in-laws, Gwen Christman and Delpha Christman; grandchildren, Shawn Foreman, and wife, Denise, Michael Foreman, Eric Foreman, Zachary Sabourin, Zoe Sabourin, Amanda OConner, Randy Daleo, Cassandra Daleo, Ryan Daleo and Paul Olney; and 7 great grandchildren. The family will greet friends after the service at the funeral home.
