Jeffery 'Jeff' Senter Creech

Obituary Jeff Creech, 63, of Newport, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at his home. The family requests that you join them for Jeffs Fairway to Heaven Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lisa Barber will officiate and attendees are encouraged to wear their golf attire. Jeff was born February 19, 1956 in Morehead City, NC to Junius Troy Creech, Jr and Julia Senter Creech. He graduated from West Carteret High School and attended Campbell University, lettering in golf at both schools. Jeff followed sports and was knowledgeable of all of them. He was especially fond of the Dallas Cowboys, the NY Yankees, and Blue Devils Basketball. There was one sport in particular that Jeff was rather passionate about and that was golf. It was his life. He was a two-time club champion at the Morehead City Country Club. He enjoyed spending time on the course with friends and family. Even as his health declined, he continued playing the game for as long as he possibly could. Possibly the only thing Jeff liked more than golf was his family. He married Ali on February 9, 1990 in Beaufort. Jeff retired as an engineering technician from Cherry Point after thirty years. He is survived his wife Ali Creech of Newport; one sister, Theresa Cox Mulvihill of Chino, CA; one stepdaughter, Angie Pearce of Nashua , New Hampshire; and one granddaughter, Olivia Bauerlein of Raleigh, NC. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Art Wayne Creech and Jamie Jay Creech, and one step daughter, Christy Bauerlein, preceded him in death.
