Jean was born in Martin County, NC on December 6, 1964, to William Manford and Lou Barber Cherry. She is survived by her son, Christopher Pearson, of Beaufort; mother, Lou B. Dailey, and long-time companion, Bob Pate; sister, Nichole Futrell of Broad Creek; brothers, Ricky Manfred Cherry, of Morehead City, and Rob Pate, II, of New Bern; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
