They were married on February 15, 1948, at Nativity Chapel in Washington, D.C.

Jim was the love of her life, and their children find great comfort knowing that they are reunited and dancing the jitter bug once again.

Jean was a graduate of Coolidge High School, Washington, DC and Benjamin Franklin University, Washington, DC with a degree in accounting. Jean was a true trailblazer. In 1958, Jean joined the Census Bureau in Suitland, M.D., as a computer programmer/systems analyst. While at the Census Bureau, Jean was awarded many professional accolades, one notable award was the Federal Government Accountants Award for Budget Presentation
