Janette Marie Cannon

Obituary Janette Marie Cannon, 51, of Newport, died at her home, Thursday, January 17, 2019. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the Cherry Point Baptist Church, Havelock, with the pastor, Rev. Steve Epperson officiating. Janette was born in Craven County on December 18, 1967 to Corey Wayemond and Clara (Jerri) Lane Parrish. She worked for over 30 years at Bayside Restaurant in Havelock, where she enjoyed getting to know her many customers, who meant the world to her. She never met a stranger. She is survived by her sons, Christopher James Parrish and Kurt Wayemond Parrish, and his fianc, Michelle Webster, all of Newport; 3 brothers, Justin Parrish of Smyrna, Adam Parrish of Norlina, and Isaac Parrish of Havelock; step-mother, Cynthia Parrish Chace, and her husband, Roy, of Silver City, New Mexico; her significant other, Larry Deam; and the apple of her eye, her granddaughter, Savannah Marie Parrish. Janette was preceded in death by her parents.
