Obituary James Lewis Bernheart, 73, of Newport died Monday, January 9, 2017 at Carteret Health Care, Morehead City, NC. A service will be announced at a later date. He was born February 24, 1943 in Allentown, PA to Richard Milton Bernheart and Alma Katherine Longacre Bernheart. Mr. Bernheart served in the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed time spent with family, fishing and his Kingdom Hall family. He is survived by his sons, Eric Bernheart and wife Claudia of Franklin, MA, Jeff Bernheart and wife Trisha of Franklin, MA, Craig Bernheart and wife Patricia of Boxford, MA; stepsons, Kai Rostcheck of Orlando, FL and David Rostcheck and wife Jennifer of Chile; brothers, Richard Bernheart of Franklin, MA and Charles Bernheart of Richmond, VA; sisters, Jan Brown of Charlestown, MA and Penny Pellegri of Hardwick, MA; and 8 grandchildren, Dakota Bernheart, Noah Rostcheck, Lily Bernheart, Grace Bernheart, Ella Bernheart, Samuel Bernheart, Rori Bernheart and Andrew Bernheart. In addition to his parents, his wife, Derna F. Bernheart, and brother, Joel Bernheart, preceded him in death.
