Hattie Irene Walker

Hattie Irene Walker, 100, of Emerald Isle, passed away Thursday September 12, 2024, at the home of her son.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and prayer warrior who enjoyed spending time with her family. Hattie was a tender hearted and giving person who would often help those less fortunate, in her free time she enjoyed baking and sewing. She was a founding member of Encounter 61 Church in Emerald Isle as well as Life Group Community Church in Burlington.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Puckett of Greenville, NC; James L. Walker (April) of Williamsburg, VA; Vicky Elliott (Jeff) of Goose Creek, SC and Tom Walker (Maria aka MC) of Emerald Isle.

She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband James H. Walker, son-in-law James Puckett and several brothers and sisters.

Her funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home with Chaplain Wesley Holmes officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in her name to Carteret Home Health and Hospice 3722 Bridges St, Suite 201 Morehead City, NC 28557
