Obituary Ida Jackson Bragg, 84, of Durham, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 900 Arendell St., Morehead City. Ida was the 9th of 10 children born and raised on a farm in Moore County, moving to Durham where she earned her degree in Medical Technology at Watts Hospital. She retired early from Durham County Health Department to travel the world with Harold. Ida was happiest tending her gardens, or "wetting a hook" in Pine Knoll Shores. She is survived by her children, Sidney, and his wife, Jackie, of Pine Knoll Shores; Suzanne Wheatcraft and her husband, Andy, of Pine Knoll Shores; Sandra Crabtree and her husband, Jesse, of Timberlake, and her favorite grandchild, Haley Crabtree. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 15 from 5-7 at Clements Funeral Home, 1105 Broad St., Durham. Ida was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Harold Bragg, Sr. of Durham. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
