Obituary Howard Cole Jones, III, 62, of Beaufort died Sunday, April 24, 2016, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House, Newport. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Ann Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Goodwin and the Rev. Jerry Linebarger officiating. He was born November 15, 1953 in Morehead City to Howard Cole Jones, Jr. and Mary Fond Mason Jones. He was a graduate of East Carteret High School and East Carolina University. Mr. Jones taught at Beaufort Middle School, West Carteret High School and Carteret Community College. He was a member of Ann Street United Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughters, Megan Nelson and husband Greg of Fort Mill, SC and Hayley Greene and husband Tommy of Morehead City; parents, Howard and Mary Fond Jones of Beaufort; brother, Hugh Jones and wife Julie of Carrboro; granddaughter, Aubrey Nelson; nephew, Ben Jones; nieces, Katherine Jones and Grace Adkins. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crystal Coast Hospice House, P. O. Box 640, Newport, NC 28570.
